Necromancer

Necromancers are wizards who have turned to the dark arts to seek escape from death. They study this perverted magic which grants them power over the dead, allowing them to commune with spirits and to raise corpses to serve them.

They are shunned and hated by all of normal society, and are often insane and morbid. Many Necromancers are allies and subjects of Vampires, sometimes willingly sometimes otherwise.

Sooner or later their bodies start to rot away and they eventually lose what little remains of their humanity. Necromancers that reach this point inevitably join the ranks of the Undead as undying wizards.
